Meet Our Nature Guides
Our dedicated educators bring passion, expertise, and love for the outdoors to every learning adventure.

Ms. Emily
Emily brings over a decade of passionate early childhood education to TreeSchool. With her Master's degree from Aquinas College, she understands how play shapes young minds and creates nurturing environments where every child can flourish.
Her gift for connecting with children shines through personalized approaches that honor each child's uniqueness. Growing up in Alaska's nature-rich environment, Emily now brings that same enriching outdoor educational experience to families in the Grand Rapids area.
As an advocate for inclusive, high-quality early childhood education, Emily crafts developmentally appropriate programs that inspire lifelong learning and deep connections to nature.
Ms. Sarah
Sarah has been a beloved part of the TreeSchool family for two years, and we're thrilled to announce she'll be leading our 3-6 year old class next year! Her expertise in special education brings invaluable insight to supporting every child's unique learning journey.
With a Master's in Special Education and Bachelor's in Psychology and Elementary Education from Grand Valley, Sarah specializes in emotional and learning support. Her certifications in yoga instruction through Breathe for Change add mindfulness and body awareness to outdoor learning.
Recently earning her Level 1 Forest Teacher certification from the Association for Nature Based Education, Sarah combines therapeutic approaches with nature-based learning to create inclusive, joyful outdoor experiences for all children.
